About Pipeline Segment 1
Segment 1 of the pipeline is located between Interstate 5 and Highway 99 in Sacramento. After leaving the water intake facility, the pipeline crosses under Interstate 5 and continues east through the future extension of Cosumnes River Boulevard to Franklin Boulevard. At Franklin Boulevard, the alignment follows Cosumnes River Boulevard to Bruceville Road. It heads north on Bruceville Road and east on Timberlake Way and crosses under Highway 99. The pipeline emerges east of Highway 99 at East Stockton Blvd. This section of the pipeline is approximately 5 miles long.
