Intake Site Structures (Oct 7 - Feb 3, 2009) Construction continues on the equipment building and yard utilities. Intake Pump Building (Oct 7 - Apr 24, 2009) Continue construction of pump building. Pile driving is complete. Bruceville Road: Cosumnes River Blvd. to Timberlake Way (Dec 1 - Jan 29, 2009) Crews are finishing installation of the tunnel on Bruceville Road between Cosumnes River Blvd. and Timberlake Way. The southbound lanes on Bruceville Road, between Cosumnes River Blvd. and Timberlake Way are currently closed. Traffic has been shifted to the northbound lanes and two-way traffic is being maintained for travelers. Power Inn Road: Auberry Drive to Elsie Avenue (Dec 29 - Feb 26, 2009) Work continues between Auberry Drive and Elsie Avenue. One northbound and one southbound lane is available to traffic on the east side of Power Inn Road. Elsie Avenue: Power Inn Road to Wilbur Way (Dec 1 - Jan 29, 2009) The eastbound lane on Elsie Avenue is closed to through traffic for the installation of the 84-inch pipeline. Detours are available via Gerber Road and Wilbur Way. Gerber Road: French to Elk Grove-Florin Road (Dec 1 - Jan 29, 2009) Crews continue to install landscaping within the medians Gerber Road: Elk Grove-Florin to Bradshaw Roads (Dec 1 - Jan 29, 2009) Crews continue to install medians within the center of the roadway. Gerber Road: Vineyard to Excelsior Roads (Oct 22 - Feb 18, 2009) Gerber Road is currently closed to traffic at Vineyard Road and continuing east for approximately one mile. Local traffic can access Gerber Road via Excelsior Road. Detours for Gerber Road are on Florin Road and Calvine Road. The road will re-open in late January. General Progress Update (Nov 1 - Jan 29, 2009) The installation of the 66-inch pipe from the intersection of Gerber and Vineyard roads north past Florin Road is complete.
The contractor continues to work on the construction of the Surge Tank Structure at Gerber and Vineyard Roads and the Flow Control Facility at the site of the Vineyard Surface Water Treatment Plant.
