The Freeport Regional Water Project (FRWP) is a joint venture of the Sacramento County Water Agency (SCWA) and East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) of Oakland to supply water from the Sacramento River to customers in Sacramento County and the East Bay.

Construction and Traffic

Intake Pump Building
Construction of the outer walls of the building is complete. Work continues inside the building.

Intake Site Activities
Work continues on the sedimentation basins and yard utilities.

Landscape Median Installation
FRWA is installing landscaped medians in the center of the following roadways: Gerber Road from Power Inn Road to Wilbur Way; Power Inn Road from Lenhart Road to Skywoods Way/Haystack Drive; Elsie Avenue from Power Inn Road to Wilbur Way. The medians will be completed by July 2009.

Road closure on Gerber Road: Vineyard to Excelsior Roads
Gerber Road is currently closed to traffic at Vineyard Road and continuing east for approximately one mile. Local traffic can access Gerber Road via Excelsior Road. Detours for Gerber Road are on Florin Road and Calvine Road. The road is scheduled to re-open in July.
